U.S. Chess Mates - Queen and Knight Checkmate
U.S. Chess Mates
Professional Chess Instruction for Children of all Ages.
Final Position
The Queen and Knight checkmate is a great way to use your pieces in combination
and get checkmate.

Just like the Bishop and Queen checkmate, this pattern is normally used during the
game. Knights located closer to the center can attack 8 squares, and the Queen placed
on a good diagonal, rank or, file can create sneaky and surprising checkmates.

This is a great way of showing your chess skills. A quick attack with a Knight and a
Queen can be easily stopped but also easily overlooked.
