A Fork is created when you move one unit to a square that then delivers an attack
on two or more enemy units simultaneously.
Pieces that can Fork:
King
Queen
Rook
Bishop
Knight
Pawn
In the diagram above we see a perfect example of the best fork ever -
the "Family Fork".
We can see the Knight is attacking all of Blacks pieces simultaneously.
The knight is attacking the Rook, Queen, and the King (check).
When your King has been placed into check he must get out off check
before any other move can be made. The result is that when Black
moves the King to a safe square - the White Knight will capture the
Black Queen.
