Piece Movement
most important piece on the chess board. The king never comes of the board.

The king moves like a queen in any direction but only one square at a time.

Kings can capture pieces by moving onto the square the enemy unit is located. Kings
can only capture pieces that are not being protected by another piece.

Kings are the whole reason we play chess and you should not let your king get trapped
by your opponent.
If your king gets attacked by your opponent it is known as check and you must place your
plans on hold and get your king safe, or out of check. You can try getting your king safe
by blocking the attack, moving out of the attacking your king. You cannot move your king
from check to another square that is being attacked by an enemy piece. If you cannot get
your king out of check it is known as checkmate.

Try and castle your king as soon as possible. Keep your king safe behind pawn walls.
Do not forget while attacking to protect your king.

Kings cannot stand next to each other.

In the endgame keep kings in front of pass pawns.
