Piece Movement
You start the game of chess with 8 pawns. From the pawns original square it may travel
one or two squares forward. After the first move the Pawn may only travel one square at
a time forward.

Pawns only capture pieces moving one square diagonally forward. If pawns have
pieces in front of them they become stuck until the piece moves or they can capture a
piece. Pawns may never move backwards.

Pawns are very powerful. Pawns create a great wall for aiding in protecting your king, as
well as chains to help gain valuable space.

If your pawn reaches the opposite side of the board you may exchange your pawn for a
queen, rook, bishop or, knight. You may not choose another king or pawn. You may
have multiples of each piece.

Example: Lets say you already have a queen, and your pawn reaches the other side of
the board. Can you have two queens?
YES! You can have a maximum of nine queens.
Only possible if you get all eight pawns to the opposite side of the board and still
have your starting queen.

Example:
Lets say you have a bishop on a white square and your pawn reaches the
other side of the board. Can you have two bishops on white squares?
YES! You can
have as many bishops as pawns. The squares they land on have a color, your bishop
becomes that color.
